I was just wondering if I have to take the PARE before I can send in my application. Also I live in Ontario and need to find out where I can book a test if I need to?

Hi Todd, Have you checked out the CPS website? It's at www.calgarypolice.ca It lists pretty much everything you need to know about sending in the application. Yes, you need to send your successful PARE form in with your appliction. There are 3 locations in Ontario listed on the CPS website (check out the "apply now" section) that test the PARE depending on where you are. Being out of town you should only need to make 1 trip to Calgary during the process. They will do the interview, psych, and poly in 3 consecutive days to save you trips out. All the best in getting your application together, it's a lot of work in and of itself. D's Wife

Check out the big brain on the web site. LOL Jay, you have just too much time on your hands....so how is everything? Have you rewrote yet? Can't believe I am finishing my 7th week already. Going fast, in a couple of weeks we won't be the junior troop. Sept class starts on the 9th. And it sounds like they are putting through a Nov class and 6 classes next year. catch ya later Jay Boyscout

I think its November 1st (Monday) but I'm not 100% on that. Boyscout would have a better idea. Congrats to your hubby by the way. You are pretty much here...barring anything unforseen of course.

Thanks, We were going to wait until signing the papers before making any announcement posts but it looks like my husband will be starting class on January 10th. He was given the option of November or January and chose January since we have to move and need time to sell our home and find another. Thanks to all who answered many a question along the way, it really helped. Looks like we'll be trading the Lower Mainland for a Winter Wonderland this year D's Wife
