Guys, I am patient, but sometimes I don't understand how things work with the federal government.  I wrote the RPAT on Mar 2, and still haven't received my results.  My friend wrote it, exactly two weeks after I wrote and he received his results today!!!  

He scored really well actually, 4.11/5!  This is the guy on the second time around that I told you about!

Hi Ace,
Well we are dealing with Federal government here. I have heard people receiving there rpat scores within two weeks, while another person writes at the same time and waited seven months. She is now going for an interview..try not to wait by the mail box....it will come.I know it is probably driving you nuts...( don't mention "nuts" on the phyc test lol )
Keep your chin up Ace.

Remeber, becoming a cop doesn't happen overnight.
It takes a good solid weekend of training to get that badge...lol

 I just got the call to say that they have opened my pkg and the process has started for me Now I just have to wait for the call from the interviewer ;D
The recruiter also said that  they just got the word the the troop allotment is up from last year  so here's hoping

Don't worry, I'm sure you will do fine on the interview!!!  Just remember, keep up on your current events, and relate everything that you say to an experience.  From what I heard, the interview really do follow the guidelines set out for you.  Good luck and keep us posted!  I wonder if that recruitment allotment is up across the board?

If anyone is interested and hasn't seen it yet the Discovery Channel is reairing the Forbidden Places episode"RCMP Academy" Its a one hour show following a troop through traning to grad. I've seen it a few times its a definite set the VCR night. Its on May 17 and 19th and depinding on where you live its on at a wierd time. 2pm here in BC.  Here is a link to the exn webpage on the show.

Well, according to the interviewer it could take a good part of a year to get into Depot. But that was only a guesstimate. All I was told was to keep in shape and and be prepared to go at any time. Thanks for the support. We're all in this together. Good call on the Discovery channel episode of Depot ,Jamaf. It is pretty interesting and I wouldn't mind taping it this time.

Congratulations Slider!!! Job well done and the hardest parts are over now.  Although having to be patient for the call is no walk in the park either. Myself, I have an appointment with my recruiter on May 1st to hand in my application package. I believe I probably will be doing the PARE on or about May 13-15. I did a trial run this week and did it in exactly 3:30 minutes. Not bad considering it was my first try at it. So again, way to go and keep us posted!
