I am told to expect a date approximately one month after your one on one interview. In the meantime I guess you are working on the data and forms that were issued to you. Later, take care.

Please tell me you're not serious...If you are, I would recomend AGAINST applying... Prostitution is legal, man. Only legal issue is public solicitation.

Screw the legalities of it, what about moral and ethical values? You need to be prepared to hold yourself to a higher level of integrity if you plan on becoming a member of any Police agency.

So how exactly do you manage to have prostitution without having solicitation? If you look at the CCC. s. 213(1)(c) it states: The ONLY way you could possibly consider prostitution legal is if it was done in private, but then you're falling under CCC. s. 210 "common bawdy-house" Could you perhaps enlighten me as to how your previous statement could be true... I'm not saying you're wrong just looking for more info on your statement.

Journey:
What you're quoting here is solicitation, not prostitution. There is a difference. The real question is whether or not it's possible to have prostitution without solicitation? What CPS Gonnabe said was that one's illegal the other isn't. Reality is you can't have prostitution without having commited solicitation.
Point's moot anyways. 20 times with hookers will get you DQ'd. No two ways about it.
Once many years ago in a foreign country (particularly if it's legal there) when you were in the navy might be forgiven. This won't.

Like Ferg said, It's immoral and that is what will get you.. ahem.. your "friend" DQ'd. Tell your "friend" not to bother.

Rockstar, thanks for the clairification...kinda... So if prostitution is "alright" but not solicitation in public...Then solicitation in private is "alright"? Wouldn't that fall under the common bawdy house section?? and besides prostitution is defined as "The act or practice of engaging in sex acts for hire." isn't that in itself solicitation?

My point is that CPS GonnaBe said that prostitution is legal then you posted a criminal code section pointing out that solicitation is illegal. The question wasn't if solicitation is legal or not.
CPS GonnaBe was basically saying that Friend is admitting to prostitution, not necessarily solicitation as we don't know the circumstances. I'm not really sure what his point is though seeing that (as has been pointed out) it's not likely there was prostitution without solicitation.
Why don't you post a CC section that states prostitution is illegal? That's what CPS GonnaBe was basically contending.
Journey wrote: ""The act or practice of engaging in sex acts for hire." isn't that in itself solicitation? "
No, it isn't, this is prostitution not solicitation. However I can't dream of a situation in which you could engage in a sex act for hire without having some sort of prior communication for this purpose. This then would be solicitation.
Anyways, this is mostly semantics. The fact still remains that if you somehow mind melded with a hooker thus avoiding communicating for the purposes of prostitution any police service is still going to DQ you.
A. it's immoral and unbecoming of LEO B. your integrity is questioned. Are you going to exchange blowjobs for criminal charges? (this has happend btw)
