I'm Still hanging in here. Wrote the rpat in August. (3.85) It seems that edmonton wants 4.13 and up... Everyone keeps telling me to move to another province but I dont think thats the answer. I will see what happens over the next few months..

Hey there all,
I passed my final PARE today, 3:43, not a record but I will take it. Only four weeks to go now after this week. Onedaysoon, hang in there buddy, it took me two year and a bit to get here. Keep trying, use study guides and keep fit. It can take a while, but once you get here you realise it was worth the wait. The time goes fast and before you know it you are almost done. no retreat no surrender buddy! If you have any questions feel free to message me.
This board is like a good luck charm, seems anyone who joins eventually gets here.
Good luck to those waiting and stay focused.

I'm still waiting for the call for the interview. I handed in my package at the same time as Glen. Hopefully one of these days.... I took a look at the time frame for this and so far it's getting pretty long. I had to wait 4-6 months after graduating to go to an information meeting, then another month for the test, more time for the results and finally the interview. I'm then deferred for 1 year. I wrote the rpat again in June right after the one year mark. It's now Feb. Ouch a one year deferral turns into two years really fast.

Hi, here's mine: -applied in August-02 -wrote RPAT 15-Sep-02 -got notice (& package) a week later - I made the IRL! -wrote the psych test 09-Oct-02 -ran the PARE 17-Oct-02 -had my suitability/security interviews 24-Oct-02 -medical/dental on 26-Nov-02 -background check done 07-Feb-03 (approx., give or take) From what I've seen mine is zipping along compared to others. The right time, the right place kind of thing. Dave

Way to go Daveman. Hang tuff and keep plodding along. Timelines are tuff to say and ut really depends on your area and the recruiting people in your division. But, word is lots of troops are going through here next fiscal year.

Hi, thanks for the encouragement, Storm. Even though the process hasn't been that long, of course the waiting at the end here is tough! It's hard when you've made up your mind what you want to do, prepared family and friends for it, then you wait to make it happen. But I'm pretty hopeful that it's just a matter of days now and I'll get the call. I had heard a while back that the word was a troop a week until April or so. I hope to get in before the money from Ottawa dries up!!! Dave
