Happy thanksgiving from Depot.
Yes Jamaf the Mess put off a full turkey dinner, stuffing and pumpkin pie included, all you could eat! There is no shortage of food here. Other than Xmas (our break is from 1630 Dec.20 until Jan 6) we have November 11. Long break over Xmas. Half my troop was gone for the Thanksgiving Holiday. In all honesty, I cannot understand what the fuss over meals is here. Other than being a little greasy at times, there is good selection and it does taste good. I get bacon, ham or sausage with omeltte or eggs every morning if I want it, or pancakes and hash browns. There are salads of all types and no shortage of yogurt, cottage cheese. I have not found a meal I have been unhappy about yet.
The only thing missing from my Thanksgiving dinner was salt beef and turnip greens. If you are from NF you wil know what I mean.

Wow sounds great Storm. I was kinda worried about "Depot food" I wasn't sure what to expect. Not being from NF I have no idea what salt beef and turnup greens are. he he I live on the west coast and can do stuff like this www.geocities.com/jamaf99/A_third_fishing_pics.html With a fish like this I'm allowed to brag just a little. ;D ;D

Well guys, Dissappointing news for me today, my medical wasn't totally cleared today!! So I have to go for more testing tomorrow. The worst part about this, it was highly possible that I could have gone to depot THIS weekend, if my medical had cleared!!! Oh well . . . it's a waiting game. So hopefully things will work out tomorrow and the new medication that I will get will cure it!! I'll keep you posted. This just reminds me that I'm not there until I'm there! Ace13

Hey Storm, its cop24sb it sounds like your having fun at depot, i'm still waiting to see when i can write the test again. I am a campus enforcement officer at memorial university right now. I was just wondering when did you started preparing for the RPAT and is there any way i could prepare for it. Ihave police exam books and scored 3.75 on the RPAT which i wrote FEB 27, 2001. Ace 13 gave me great advice but i was wondering if you had anything to add.
Hey Ace13 i wouldn't worry about the test you just had, it could anything, you might have high gloucosr levels or low etc, they probally ask you for more blood work. It could be anything. ;D

Ace
Congratulations!!!
I take it that you will be in troop 21. I have two friends leaving for Depot on Saturday. Say hi to Rob and Chad for me. They will probably be surprised that I know people from all over Canada. From Vancouver Island to Newfoundland. Have fun over there, you've worked hard. Keep us posted if you can. Glenn
Remember, becoming a cop isn't something that happens overnight. It takes a good solid weekend of training to get that badge....LOL
