Hey onedaysoon That is a great score. I live in BC and scroed 3.75 a year ago last June. I would phone the recruiting office in your area and see what they have to say about the cutoff mark. If it is 4.3 move to BC. ;D lol either way that was a very hard test and 77% is nothing to sneeze at. Good luck.

Well its been an exciting hour. I walked down the road from my house and saw the queen drive by. I was expecting a quick drive buy but she went by slowly with the car window open doing the famous Queen wave. When I got home I got a call from my contacts in Alberta. Alberta is now Done.wooo hoo Just 2 more on the mainland and thats it.....

Hang in there Onedaysoon, you don't know until you get the application package or the letter. It depends on how everyone else scored in your pool. Way to go Storm, make us proud! Jamaf, that is awesome, I'd say you will be off pretty soon!! I think you are going to make it a troup or a few troops ahead of me!! Perhaps you'll be my big brother troop!! There are still alot of contacts that I have that need to be contacted!! The way it looks for me, I won't be going anywhere before Christmas, my file is moving at a snail's pace!! Take Care Ace13

Curious,
Just relax and be yourself. Draw from your life experience and remember the competncies they are watching for. Don't go to mad trying to make yourself look perfect. My troop has peopel drawn from all over, not just law enforcement backgrounds. The important thing is we all have life skills we can share and lear from others with. Keep us posted and good luck!!!!

HI guys and gals, I'm very interested in joining the RCMP, I wrote the exam and got a 3.75, but according to the recruiting dept here in St.John's, Newfoundland,It wasn't high enough, I later found out from a gentlemen who wrote the exam with me scored 4.2 and he on his way to depot. It all depends i guess on how the rest of the tests takers do. A buddy of mine Robert is in training now he scored 3.5. On the exam i did bad on the memory and math. I was just wondering if you have any suggestions or materials tips etc, you could give me. Its been a dream of mine to join the rcmp since i was 6 years old.
Please help! cop24sb :-/

Hey cop24sb, Here's a website that helps with math skills: www.math.comI know you didn't mention this part as a problem area, but here's a website that helps with grammar: ccc.commnet.edu/grammar/quiz_list.htmWith regards to memory, I practiced looking at some mugshots on the RCMP website as well as trying to memorize license plates. It helps when trying to memorize a license plate, to make each letter mean something. For example, if the number was BDD 355, I'd remember it as "bad drunk driver 355" or even use the phonetic alphabet "bravo delta delta 355". Which selection period didn't you make? I wrote the RPAT back in March and scored 3.9 and I made the selection for April. I'm from NF as well. Hope this helps Ace13

So I guess you will be writing again in February then?? Well good luck with it. Sometimes it takes a couple tries at the RPAT to score high enough, that's what I have been told. Once you know what to expect, the mark usually goes up on the second writing. Good luck Ace13
