ACE13,
You might not have to pesonally call each place. Keep in touch with your references, have them call you as soon as they are contacted. Keep in touch with the former employers you listed and have them call you in the same manner. If you haven't heard from your references and or employers from a certain geographic location for around 4-6 weeks then I would start calling the investigating detachment and inquire. They will give a BI file to every location you have had residences and or worked. If you notice that employers and/or references from a certain geographic location have not been contacted after a certain period of time I would call to make sure your file there has not been misplaced or maybe they haven't received it yet. Food for thought! Lets hope that the attached note on your file tellingthe BI's to do your file ASAP will help. I have never heard of that before!

Thanks Sporto. I plan to keep in contact with all my references and my recruiter at HQ. But I do not intend to bug her either. It's hard to know where they draw the line for asking questions and pestering. I'd rather be known as the lady who asks questions and not the one who pesters! I'm hoping the the recruiter will keep in touch with me anyhow, like she said, as soon as information starts coming back, she's going to have me come in for my psychological exam. Anyway, I'm being patient so far! Any more news from anyone else lately? Take Care Ace13

Hi guys, I was just talking to recruiting and there is nothing back with my background check yet. She called to clarify a few things on my forms. But in the meantime, she told me that I should make an appointment to have my psychological exam completed. So I go in on Monday, September 16th to do that. She said at least then, there will be no delays once the background check completes. Hopefully, I'm not crazy or I don't mess that up! Ace13

Ace you will do fine on the psychological evaluation. 572 questions on nothing in particular. Its 2 hours of my life that I will never get back. oh well I guess its part of the process. I guess I was more expecting an interview type evaluation but they just shoved me in a room for 2 hours with a book. enjoy ;D

Thanks Jamaf, I hope everything goes well! That is what I am hearing about the psych test too. I heard that some questions doesn't make any sense, so just answer with the first answer that comes to mind. Well after I made this post this morning, one of my character references in Nova Scotia called me and told me that she was interviewed this morning and that it went well. So that's Nova Scotia down, Ontario, BC and Newfoundland left to go! I'm just excited to hear that it has started! Ace13

Holy cow Ace things are moving right along for you . No one on my contact list in BC or Alberta have even been contacted yet. I have told all of them to call asap as soon as they hear something. At this rate you could get to Depot before me Ace. Have you heard of a time frame yet? I called my recruiter on Monday because she wanted another reference. I gave one to her and told her that this person would be moving Nov 1st. The recruiter told me that she didn't need her new address. So I determined from that she expected to be finished by then. I could be wrong.

Jamaf, The recruiter is not really giving me any timeline yet. The day of my interview, she said that I was looking at after Christmas depending on what happens in September, meaning things could pick up. She also said during another conversation that things are extremely busy and that if I was ready to go to depot, I'd be gone! I think the big problem is getting people ready to go. For me, the problem is that they are relying on other provinces to finish their checks before they do any checks here. She said that once it comes back to NF, the file will only take a couple weeks. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the last troop for the fall goes through the end of October! Did anybody else hear the same? Anyway, for me now there are only two close associates that are living in other provinces (BC and Ottawa) that need to be interviewed and my neighbours and employers from Toronto. Then my file will start here in NF. Good luck guys Ace13

Good news ACE13, Nice to know the ball is still rolling eh?! I haven't heard anything new yet about my application but I assume the investigator contacted my last employer here Monday and has forwarded my file to K division for the final check over. I anticipate a call from K Division to go for my last PARE and possibly do the online, pre-depot stuff in the next week or two. I think everything is finished with my BI and really hope to get the call for Depot in October?! I will keep posting any news I get. Kind of quiet here now that the four are gone to Depot. Lets hope they can give us an update back here in the real world!! Later guys and girls. Sporto

This is something I have always wanted to do and I am so scared of failing at it. Anyways I guess I will see tommorrow. It takes 6 weeks before you get your results back? ? Holly cow I don't know if I can wait that long.
