Well, I'm not on this board much anymore, but would like to update it to say that I will be in Troop 15 on August 30. Guess I'll start running now...

"Impy" and "therecruit1"
congrats to both of you....finally made it. Have fun in the heat...then the cold. You get to experience all the Regina has to offer weather wise. Yikes! therecuit1....what took so long with the last portion of your application? All I can say is that when you sit on your bed in Depot of the first time and look around, you will forget all the troubles and stress of the application process.
good luck

Goose, Thanks for the congrats and encouragement. My file ended up going to Regina at least twice that I know of for final review. Both times there was paperwork missing, then stuff started to expire(pare, secuirty interview) so I had to do them over again. All is good now and I'm looking forward to Depot.

Ok DaveTO, I took a look back at your application process and I am baffled. I know some O applicants that have applied and almost graduated from Depot during your ongoing application process. What is going on? It was asked once before, and I thought I would wait a bit to hear your response..but you didn't respond to the other guys request. Now you are scaring all the O applicants with this excessive timeline. Did something come up? Have you been in touch with them? Your wait is absolutely unacceptable. I would start to badger them...they can't deffer you for being eager. Now seriously...what the heck is up? Were you involved in the underworld or did you vote for the Marihuana party or something? Crazy I tell you....crazy. I'll be waiting to hear from you

Well, it wasn't really one big item that delayed it. First, I wrote my RPAT halfway through the bloc, so that's 3 months right there. Then I had a reasonable time to get scheduled for an interview. Then came the first delay...Ontario recruiting was moving offices, so BGIs and medicals got put on the backburner. Then, in my effort to speed up the process, I submitted my MMPI-2 that I wrote with the OPP. Not good! There are certain questions that the OPP specifically told me not to answer, that the RCMP did want answered, so I had to re-do the whole test. I know a guy from Ontario who just got on after 28 months, as well as the fact that everyone in my final PARE test wrote the RPAT at the same time...so I dont think there was anything unusual. If you go back to the first page of this post, you'll find someone who notes "I don't know why, but applicants from Ontario and Quebec just take longer." I'm 25. I still have many years of my life left (hopefully), and I know that the "clients" will always be out there.

Maybe because Ontario and Quebec are not contracted provinces...hence no $$$ to hire???

Hello, I have read through a good number of these postings, and have found them to be very informative. I have recently received my RPAT score, but I am confused how the new Conscientiousness Score comes into play? I was told during testing that this was a new part of the test, and used to calculate the RPAB score. Does anoyone know how the Conscientiousness Score affects things?

Hello NewHere, This is my understanding of the RPAB score: - The RPAB aggregate score is based on both the RPAT score and the SFPQ’s Conscientiousness score. - The total RPAB score is comprised of roughly: a) 60% of the converted RPAT b) 40% of the converted Conscientiousness scores. - The total RPAB score is then placed on a new scale. This scale has an average score of 250, with the scores ranging from 0 to 500. Here's the link to the RCMP site where I got the info: www.rcmp-grc.gc.ca/recruiting/faq_e.htmHope this is helpful. Thank you for the prompt reply. ^^ I hope my RPAB score will be enough to get me an application package.
