Here is my D division timeline:
25 Mar 03 RPAT (3.89) Apr 03 Received package Jun 03 Pare #1 (4:15) July 03 Selection/Security interviews 14 Aug 03 Medical/dental evaluation 29 Aug 03 Psych test 12 Dec 03 PARE #2 (4:11) Mar 04 Re-do security paperwork 15 Apr 04 First references contacted 8 Aug 04 BGI finished 8 Sept 04 Psych eval part 2 (not everyone has to do this, it depends) 16 Sept 04 "The call!! Depot 17 October. Loving the luxury of 1 month notice! Of course, pending the outcome of PARE #3 on 23 Sept.
So there you have it, almost 18 months from RPAT to "the call". The wait gets pretty hard sometimes, but hang in there those of you to whom this applies. I'm still riding the adrenaline! It doesn't get any better than this feeling.
A question as well. The security clerk told me about a couple of weeks ago that she was forwarding my file for Top Secret (lvl 3) clearance. I thought applicants only get processed for level 2 (secret) clearance. Could I be getting level 3 due to the fact that I already hold a level two clearance with the Canadian Forces?

I think applicants are initially cleared for "Secret" but in order to attend depot cadets need a "Top Secret" clearance.

Regarding the security clearance question, I think any applicant that passes the BGI gets top secret clearance. I got mine about a month ago. My recruiter called me to say my bgi is done and that I've been granted top secret clearance. For the rest of the day I was humming the "Secrect Agent Man" song and feeling very James Bondish. Until, that is, I realized that all mounties have it. I have also learned that provincial and municipal cops don't have as high a clearance level as we do!

Max and Guards, Sorry for my delay in getting back to you. I do not frequent this forum too often so I appologize. Guards; I am not directly related to a Peter Van Dusen though I am sure we are "somewhere" down the line. Max; I am in "H" Division. I re ran my PARE test on Sept. 27 and scored a 3:15 beating my old 3:32 score. I also had my RCMP medical this month and everything went well with that. My background investigation is the only thing left and it is currently being conducted. A buddy of mine in Cape Breton has already been interviewed. I am getting quite excited. I am busy with work and school right now though. I can't wait until December when school ends.. I'll have more time to myself until Depot. Elliott foxmulder@accesscable.net
