I'm guessing you were talking about my timeline... I got defered at the security clearance due to a bankruptcy in the past. I hadn't been discharged for 2 years yet, which is what is required by the security clearance unit. SO, I had to wait 11 months and then go back to square one... Some possible good news for the future if people get deffered, a lot of the recruiters are fighting to change the "Back to RPAT" policy for deferals. They want to see applicants be able to come back into the process at say the interview stage depending on why you got defered. I agree since the only thing that is going to happen on the RPAT for me is I improve on my previoius mark, I've already shown I have the "apptitude" when I wrote the first time, why not just keep the marks for say 5 years, and then just send out a package when they get the notice of re-application? Thats what most municipal forces in AB do, My APCAT marks are good for 5 years with pretty much EVERY agency in AB... I would love to be able to just jump right to the security interview again, and then continue on, but if wishes were horses...blah blah blah... ;D

Just wondering if there was anyone in "E" divison that has finished both interviews and waiting on their medical package and for their background investigation to start? That's the point I'm at.

Hey Max, I am from E division and just so you know you will be waiting four to six weeks for your BGI and Medical to start, then another 4 to 6 weeks for the actual field investigations. Stay patient.

Hey folks, I don’t post that much anymore, mostly just read. I just wanted to give a little shot of encouragement to those who have been in the process for awhile…Hang in there and stay patient, your time will come. I wrote the RPAT in Sept 2001 and I just got the call last week to attend DEPOT in early Sept. There were definitely lots of frustrating times along the way but now that I’ll be attending DEPOT it was worth it and I’m glad I didn’t apply anywhere else because the Mounties have always been my first choice. Now all I have is the simple task of passing training. Anyhow, good luck to everyone in their processes.

I have been penciled in for a troop in mid-november.. but in October I will get an update on start dates and such. I don't know what is up with the crazy notice.. I think they are just trying to fill all the spots before the new year.
