Hey Dragon: I am from NB as well. I am just waiting for my background investigation to finish. They still have a few references that they haven't contacted yet. Always nice to see a fellow NBer on the boards. I am from Moncton btw. Where are you in NB? Lance PS If anyone is interested...I have a web page detailing my journey through the RCMP process. You can check it out at www.geocities.com/mountie2be/index.html

Hi there people, I wrote the RPAB last week and I got a great feeling about it. It is my third time and it seems like a position feeling. In the past, I did 4.42 and 3.77. Although this year, there is the conscientiousness test and this scares me a little but I guess it is not going to play against me. In any cases I will see. Four years ago, (I was 24) I passed the RPAB with 4.42 and I got interviewed. Sadly, the interviewer said that I lacked some leadership experience. If I go for an interview this time around. Well God knows what is going to happen… I simply know one thing, applying to the police and this includes the RCMP can be a VERY difficult. For those of you interested, I wrote a small essay about my experience. You guys can view it at www.geocities.com/ontpolBest of Luck, hoping it is not going to discourage too many of you. You got courage to start a process that difficult and stupid at times.

Hello everyone out there chasing their dreams! I found this web page and thought you guys(and girls) might be able to help me on my timeline to the RCMP. Here goes:
June-04 - Info Session: Kitchener Ontario July 28/04 - Wrote RPAB - total score 368.99 (4.37 RPAT and 78.50 CS) Oct 5/ 04 - received application package Nov. 14/04 - Ran Pare - 3:28 Dec. 2/04 - Passed both suitibility and seurity interviews Jan. 31/05 called recruiting in London and was told background investigation should start by end of Febuary
I am just wondering if there is anyone out there who has been on a similar timeline and can tell me a realistic training start date. I was told after my interview that I will probably not even have to re-run my PARE that I will be in by then. Thanks for any advice anyone might be able to offer.

Good News,
Got the letter today that my background check has started. Hopefully within the next couple months it will be completed and I can begin training!!!
Any advice on how to make the waiting less painful?
