I was hoping I could get some feedback. Ever since I can remember I wanted to be a police officer. When I finally went to college, well lets just say I got lost and was stupid. I have used various drugs and went bankrupt. Now Drugs are a verry big NO, Ive improved my credit dramatically, I have not had a traffic offense or points in 5 years, and I have seen fist hand from my experience and seeing what happened to "friends" how bad drugs truly are. I want to help make things change. DO I EVEN HAVE A CHANCE OR SHOULD I LOOK INTO SOMETHING ELSE?

depends on what drugs you used. some will disqualify you.

Check with the PDs in your area before you give up completely. The type of drug (as Drakor said), the frequency of use, and the amount of time that has passed since last use will be factors in their decision.

Everybody has different rules and it doesn't hurt to ask.
