Okay time for some comic relief: The day after the close of lobster season, a Cape Bretoner is coming up from the wharf with a big lobster in each hand. A DFO officer spots him and confronts him. "You know sir, it is a $20 000 fine per lobster for catching them out of season". The Cape Bretoner replies "Well, that is true, however these are my pet lobsters - not ones I just caught". The officer replies "Likely story pal - that is a pretty tall tale". The Cape Bretoner replies - "Well - you have a pet dog right? I happen to have two pet lobsters. Each day I bring them down to the wharf for a swim, and after 20 minutes I whistle and they come back to me and I take them home." The DFO Officer says "Well, if that is true - prove it" So off they go down to the wharf, and the Cape Bretoner slips the lobsters into the water. 10 min pass. 20 min pass. Half an hour goes by. The Officer asks "Aren't you going to whistle for the lobsters?" The Cape Bretoner replies "What lobsters??" Us maritimers aren't as simple as we look ;D
