Jack,
Probably one of the most common is volunteering at a detachment/police station and/or as an auxiliary.
My advise to you is to avoid this, and volunteer in a social service type industry. Examples being volunteer with big brothers/sisters, at a youth home, at a home for the disabled, etc. This will get you more points with your respective recruiter than something police orientated.
