Hello fellows,
I will be very brief with my question. I was charged in a foreign country (at the time I was a minor) The case was heard in court and i was set free. I was innocent to begin with, but since police is little corrupt in third world countries they were demanding money. Anyways I was set free by the court. I have been in Canada for more than 14 years and got a very clean record. I have been part of volunteer organization Within the police forces for past three years. Do you guys think that by disclosing my past I would be thrown out of the selection process. I do not want to hide it as i was innocent to begin with. I do not wish to have that fear of hiding something and feeling guilty about it. Please help. I have the character references from the place of the incident. would that help? Do i have any hope to even move forward in the selection process.

Rai,
I wouldn't worry too much about it, specifically since you were a minor. If you volunteer within the police force, have you asked them what they think? 14 years ago was a long time ago...be honest and upfront with it.
