Anyone know how long on average O div's BGI's take? My file has been transfered to Toronto area...

Can't say for "O" ... "K" is usually 4-8 weeks, but "F" is 4-6 months, so probably somewhere between those 2.  |

I just spoke to my "backgrounder" out hear in E div. and she told me 8-12 weeks...depending on my contacts. My file also has to go to O div since I just moved to E about 2 years ago, so hopefully it won't be too much longer...but you just never know!!! Can't say for "O" ... I recently got put to background in E div but they have to send my file back east as well to O Div as I lived there for a while. I was told it'll take 8-12 weeks for E div and around 6-8 weeks in O div, but I'm not sure if that's concurrently or if the Odiv time is tacked on the end. My recruiter also told me that O div has to get to their own files first so mine will have to wait till they've taken care of their local applicants. So... back to waiting.

I would re-check that, as that doesn't make any sense. If that was the case, then they would never get to any files for other provinces as applicants and feild investigations are always on going. The do have certain criteria pertaining to out-of-province-but-used-to-live-there applications, although it may be complicated, but it has to be done. If you have done your medical, it is only good for 6 months. A friend of mine was in the same situation as me and her background took 3 1/2 months in E and O. Good luck! Happy waiting.
