Hey all,
I wanted to know what sorta tracking the RCMP would do for someone that gambled lots. 2 years back I got VERY big into gambling. It started slow but got pretty big & bad as I won more & more money. Anyways, like all good things, it came to an end & I lost a lot of what i made back. I'm one of the luck ones, was able to stop with some left over but it was pretty bad at one point.
I've never really had a bad habbit, this would be the only one. Havent' been in a casino since about a year ago, how much of an effect wil this have/

I'm not a recuiting officer, but I do know that gambling is something that is definately a concern from a security clearance perspective. It indicates an individual prone to both addictions and financial instability. Both being security issues.
You can always apply. Worst case scenario is that you get a deferal of some sort due to the issue. Best case scenario is they are glad you have reformed and allow you to continue.
Good luck! RY
