Hi, i am an rcmp applicant and have finished my interviews and am awaiting my medical package. While i have been waiting, a problem with a cyst has come back and the doc said it may require some minor surgery and some healing time. I am just wondering if my application may be terminated or will they allow me some time to heal before going any further. Thanks.

Hi I think you'll be fine, maybe just let them know, what division are you from??? that makes a difference on how fast everything will go through

Hi, thanks for the info, i am from L division and i guess my only concern was that i may need 1-2 months to heal 100 % and i am not sure what their reaction might be, whether or not they can just delay the process a bit. Thanks.

Usually the RCMP will just delay your process until you get the all clear...much like when someone gets laser surgery done on their eyes. I know of one applicant who had his process put on hold for a year for a medical problem. After the year he was given the all clear and they picked up the process at the same point. He just had to redo the security interview since those expire after one year.
