::)I failed it the first time i wrote it in 1989!The old test was alot different and alot harder than this new one is!we had no information session,no study guides to refer to,we submitted our names, told to original documents on hand to bring in and wait to be called. As unbelivable as this may sound, i was called up the day of the test and asked if i could make it in to write it, if not , i could do it the following week. I of course choose to go in that afternoon with no idea of what the hell an "aptitude test" even was. There was on section on general knowledge canadian history, and general questions on canada. There was a full section on spatial relations ,squares circles, relations between objects your typical abstract reasoning questions which i had never encounterd before and was alot more intimidating when you sat down cold with no idea of what to expect. the math section was alot harder as well. The questions were more of what you would see on an sat test than a ged test. You also had to write a standard essay on a selected subject. I will always rember when i went home to check where Stanley park was because i thought it was in calgary ,but of course it was in vancouver which i am embarrased to say i did not know!I must say though that this new test is somewhat of a joke and i don't say that to be condescending, but anyone who can't score at least a 4.00 on that thing should not even have a high school education. There is a canadian version of the police prep guides that you can get at chapters published by"police prep" and they have a web site as well. good luck guys!
