Just wondering, when others have had their references and previous employers contacted?
I have completed everything, they are just waiting on my medical forms to be consolidated (passed it all) and then thats it. HR mentioned that begining of March is possible...
But NONE of my references, friends, or previous employers or present employer have been contacted. Isn't this a little odd? At what stage should this be done? If they are almost ready to ship me out...shouldn't they have at least called one person?
If anyone knows more, please share!
Cheers,
Dave

You will usually be advised by the member conducting your background when he/she will be beginning. When it happens, it happens all at once. Believe me, if they have not contacted your employers/references, they are not almost ready to ship you out. Everyone needs to be contacted, reports have to be written, and various different levels have to sign off on it. So you just gotta continue to wait as the process chugs along at its own rate.

I know someone who was applying for the RCMP. They never told him when they began his background check. This friend never even knew they had almost completed it until one of the references phoned and told him.
