Just wondering if any cadets or recent graduates can shed light on options for me to grab pics off my digital camera and burn to a CD. Will depot computers work or will I just have to prey a troopmate has a laptop with a burner that they'll graciously let me use every now and again??
Thanks

I was never able to get my usb cable to work with the depot computers. I doubt there are any troops these days without at least a couple guys with decent laptops, though. Mine had five guys with good laptops.

There are picture moments everyday in each of the classes that you would want to capture so having your camera handy is great. Mind ya at the end of the six months you will spend most of your time erasing the pictures of the people you have grown to hate.....

I am totally planning on bringing my camera, and my video camera too. I hear they stopped allowing the professional videographers to tape certain events (pepper spray, parades, etc), so I want to have my video camera handy incase I am allowed to tape this kinda stuff.
If anyone knows that it's not allowed, let me know, otherwise I keep with my plan of bringing it.
Oh, and I am sure hoping someone in my troop has a laptop for the digital stills!!
Cheers.

You are allowed to have a camera at most events even pepper spray day. We were allowed to have a before and an after picture. I think as long as the person knows that picture is being taken and is okay with it then the facilitor may allow it, ask first. Don't hesitate to bring both still and video with you, there are a lot of memories to capture. And it's almost a sure thing that someone in your troop will have a laptop as there were 3 in mine. Cheers and good luck!
