Or "They won't send you to your home province." I get the french one the most.. but they don't ask.. they tell me. "You need to speak french." "No I don't" "Then what if they send you to quebec" "I won't be. It's not a contract policing province and the greatest need is the west. And even then, it's not a prerequsite" "I am pretty sure I read it somewhere." "Alright then" Assclowns Hehehe..watch what you say JD! Some provinces WON'T take their own back...and don't say you will never go to Quebec (even if you don't speak french)...a lot of troops see 1-2 new members going to Quebec and 1-2 going to Ontario, and stranger things have happened! (Like about 8-9 years ago an entire batch of troops were posted to Ontario to guard the embassies, etc) My favorite ones I get from people are the "quota" remarks on tickets....so many urban legends/misconceptions!!!! Cheers, RY

Watch what you say Ryan Sales.... lol. I have worked with and know lots traffic members who must fill their "expectations" or "quotas" every shift or their Cpl is none too pleased. Call it what you want, it is still the same thing and it does exist in many detachments

I would agree with the post by me123, while few departments will actually set a quota, I have found that supervisors will often set a little friendly competiton between shifts, or fellow officers in order to get more statistics generated. Stats show the command staff who is out doing the work, and too often if you have no "paper" to show what you do for a shift, you better believe you will hear about it sooner or later.
