If no one was charged, the officer should have created a "No case Seizure" file. In this case at least one person must be attached to the file. Either your buddy or both of you should have been attached to the file. This would create a CPIC entry attached to your name which would show up on your Back ground investigation. However, if the cop was lazy, he may have destroyed it on scene, but they usually "ask" you to destroy it in front of them. I would certainly mention this incident so that there are no surprises for the detective assigned to you. The last thing you want is to be pervieced as a liar. It is your duty to disclose the information. If you leave things like this out, trust me, they will leak in the worst way. good luck and don't worry about it too much. Just be honest...
