You might want to rethink using term "whore" as well LOL I'm not going to use that term, but what happend happend. I can't go back & change it, only after the fact that I found out, it was ammusing at the time, now I wish I didnt happen...but thats part of my experince...good or bad they need to hear it. I'll have to just explain what happend I guess.

Still, good lord! A deferral may last a year, but being known as the dude who got it on with a lady of the evening will last you life.

Well Moose, I think you have a great attitude about this whole thing. And even though I am with the pool of repliers who think your chances are pretty slim at this point in time, you're doing the right thing by being honest and open about your mistakes. You take responsibility for them and that will make a big difference in the interview. By the way, the period is now one-year before you can reapply instead of two. I guess it was changed because they need so many guys now. Just keep up the good attitude and focus on putting some constructive time between you and your mistakes, that's what they want to see. And hang in there bud!

I think I'm def lucky to be where I am in life, never having been in trouble with the law, never been in a major fight, never done anything to horrible. I think everyone has a hidden past, something they wish they could change...I however am glad I did everything I did. When my younger brother asked me what smokin pot was like, I explaind it didnt really have an effect on me & I didnt think he should even try...he agreed. I think that had for of an effect since he knows I've tried it & I've said it's as great as everyone makes it sound. I'm gonna go in, just do what I do best, present myself in an honest fashion, answer everything they ask me honestly & truthful...& then let them decide if I'm rigth for the force.

I was told no pot within the last two years, by the interviewer that deferred me for that reason. Be honest and let them decide.
You sound like you have lots to offer, and I'm with you: I wasn't planning on being a cop when I was younger and stupider, either, and while I've done a couple of things that don't look good, I've done a hell of a lot more that does look good.
Just answer their questions honestly and be prepared for a "no" if it comes. They may well defer for a year just to see if you're serious enough to stick around, in which case you can spend a year improving yourself.
Good luck! It takes a lot of guts to spill your guts to the RCMP. It takes no guts to judge.

I've actually heard from a few members that the RCMP tends to do that very thing quite often. If they think someone may not be 100% up for it they will defer you just to see if you are serious. Usually when you come back the next time you are more likely to get to depot.
