Anybody else here apply to Halifax Regional Police? I recently got a letter stating that I passed the written test and that the P.A.R.E will be in late July/early August. Just wondering if I will see anyone from the board at the P.A.R.E testing. ;D Lance P.S. I recently created a website documenting my journey to become a police officer. You can check it out at www.geocities.com/mountie2be/index.html

I just finished the polygraph stage with the Halifax Regional Police. I must admit that it was quite intimidating and nerve racking. I can't imagine how it would be if I was actually trying to hide something. LOL Anyways...I am just wondering if anyone else on this board is going through the process as well? It is starting to get into crunch time. I think there was 600+ applicants that began and now they just made the cut to 125 applicants. Lance PS I have a website devoted to my quest to become a law enforcement officer. If you want to check it out, go to www.geocities.com/mountie2be/index.html

Received the letter for the polyg. invite. Not looking forward to it, even though I was honest and upfront. Good luck!

Just a quick update on my progress with my application with Halifax Regional Police. I completed my panel interview. Apparently recruiting will cut the number of applicants down from 125 to 70 following the polygraph test. I was lucky that I was scheduled to do my panel interview early even though most people hadn't even completed the polygraph. (I guess they had a free day and decided to schedule some interviews) My brother had his interview scheduled on the same day as well. We both think we did excellent but unfortunately we have to wait until all the interviews are over to find out if we will advance to the medical/psych stage. I am just wondering if anyone on this board is doing their panel interview as well? Also...I heard a rumour that the size of the class might increase from 24 to 40 because they have such a need right now. Can anyone verify this? Good luck to anyone still in the process! Lance PS I have a web page detailing our journey to become police officers. You can check it out by going to www.geocities.com/mountie2be/index.html
