I have a R.C.M.P medical in a month and im a blood pressure medication. Would/can that effect my medical clearance??
BP is hereditary in my family.

But they will do it on a case by case basis. I know there is a section where is asks what your mother, father, grandmother, grandfather, etc have had as far as conditions go.. like blood pressure, cancer, heart disease... But there is nothing you can do now except go and do the medical and let Health Services decide.

There was a guy in my troop on daily meds for high blood pressure.
As long as you have it under control and have very good health otherwise you should be just fine.

Applicant,
Don't worry too much about the medical....it's the same as any other routine medical. No nasty rubber glove treatment!
And as for the high blood pressure, stop worrying! The doctor will evaluate whether or not things are under control. It's out of your hands, worrying is not going to help!
