J, I haven't heard anything from my file manager in just over a month. I think I have waited long enough to give her a call back and just see what's happening. How about you? Any word?

Hi J, Romano & everyone else
Sorry it's been a few days, but I've been in busy with work and coming to Calgary for holidays, etc.
Just to let you know, I got the call from my file manager and found out last week that I was selected for the Calgary Police, and I've finally stopped walking around on the ceiling. It's such a great feeling to finally know how it would turn out and to have been selected.
Nothing is too firm yet, I still have to get "the package" and do my medical etc. I re-did my PARE yesterday (and passed... same time as in the summer) as it was going to expire in Jan and now can enjoy the rest of my holidays with the great news.
Anyway, thanks for your advice z& support, and all the best to you guys in your applications. I'm sure it'll be soon when you hear back fro CPS.

Hey Dave,
Congrads on the good news ! It would seem that we might be sharing a class for the next 6 months... I got the same call. Nice surprise prior to x-mas. I think that I still have your email from a couple months ago, I will send you my email address and if keep me updated. (any class date info. etc. )

Hey Dave, I'm trying not to think about it to much but its kind of hard not to. I am going to call my file manager on wednesday and make an appointment to speak with her about why I was deferred. For the time being I am going to look into some other related fields of employment like the transit cops or CAPS (court and prisoner) or even BY-Law. I'll let you know how it goes. Have you or J heard when your class starts? You guys must have to go for uniform fitting pretty soon. Give me a call next time you're in town we can go for a celebration lunch or something. Take it easy.
