Hi, I was wondering if anyone had any experience in failing the rcmp interview and if they know of anyone who went on to pass it the next time. I was told I wouldnt continue due to lack of life experience and no post secondary education. Since then I have enrolled in Police studies at the local college. I am also an Aux. rcmp member with 500 hours in and also work for our local ambulance. Ive done all they asked me to but I'm afraid all the hard work may not pay off. I'd appreciate any advice

Hey Auxmen,
Yes, I know someone that went through the interviewing process and got deferred. He was former RCMP student constable. When he went through the process he was only 20.
He went back to college and took up a part-time job to get some life experience. Two years later he returned and this time he passed.
I am a strong believer that life is 20% what happens to you and 80% what you do with it.
The individual has been a regular member for 3 years now!

Auxmem,
Ditto to what Jag said. I've heard of people failing it 4 or 5 times and still making it to depot. With the RCMP perseverence pays off.
