when should i start applying?

Hello, I will graduate with a bachelor's in Law Enforcement Justice Administration in Dec. 2003. After I graduate I still need to Intern. I was wondering if now would be a good time to start putting in applications for a job, or if I should wait until after I intern? Also, I was wondering if anyone has been hired by the department that they have interned with? Please respond with any helpful info. Thanks

I would apply now. Most Police Services take anywhere from 6 - 14 months to fully process an application.
