I have applied 5 times for the deptartment I work for It has police and security. (I work security there). This dept. has hired people the first time around who have much less experience than me, then they were let go bue to it and other problems. Could there be some biased going on there, because I'm real confused as to why this dept. won't hire someone who "wants" to work for them and be a good officer, vs. people there that are under qualified or otherwise unsuitable and were let go because of it?

Sounds kinda fishy to me...but who knows what the inner workings are. My thoughts are that if they keep looking you over for Then you are probably better off applying to a different LE agency.
Where are you trying to apply? (Prov/State, Agency)

Wow, was I the only one who had trouble understanding forensica?
If I understand correctly, you work security, and some other people were hired to be officers. These officers did not have any security training, but still made it before you...
They probably had better test scores/interviews/aptitudes and the department thought that they could make them into good officers

forensica, Have you tried talking to your file manager or to the recruiting dept. I'm sure after being deferred 5 times they'll probably be more than willing to give you a reason. I agree with with J2D, it may be time to apply elsewhere.
