I know the RCMP Regular Member Selection Interview is scored out of 40. This is based on the 8 essential competencies and you score anywhere from 1 to 5 for each one. Anyone know the score you need to pass the interview? Does it matter if you bomb in one competency but pass with flying colours in the others? Thanks.

Hi D,
my understanding is that the RPAT is scored out of 5. As far as a cutoff mark is concerned, that is dependent on what division you are writing in, I think. I think in F it was 3.35 or something like that. After the basic cutoff you are selected based on the total results of the block you wrote in.
As far as mine went, I did not do as well in some areas but did very well in others, so I got a fairly good mark. I'm not sure of the weighting of the different areas.

Thanks for replying Daveman. But actually I didn't mean the RPAT passing mark. I meant the passing mark required on the Suitablity Interview when you meet the interviewer for a few hours to get asked questions based on the essential competencies.
