Hello to all, I really enjoy this web site, tons of information about the adventure of becoming a police officer. I wrote the RPAT and scored 3.77 and now I'm waiting for the packet, if my score is high enough Does anyone know how many cadets they are taking this year I heard that 10,000-12,000 people apply each year, I wonder how many people actually pass the test?? Tim (from N.B.) p.s. Is anyone out there from N.B. or the maritimes?? ;D

Hi tim,
I just graduated 03-03-17, last i hgeard they were going to be going to be processing 44 or so troops. Under the other tread 'RCMP' there are sevral folks still there who may have heard some updated info. What you heard about the number of people writing is true, only higher. Form what I know last year 11000 people wrote and under 900 were accepted. I am from NF, so don't dispair, there are plenty of people from the maritimes in there.

Hello Storm, Thanks for the info. If they are taking 44 troops this year that's around 1180 cadets, awesome ;D I might have a chance yet. I wonder do they divide the numbers up evenly for each province?? I'm from N.B. and not sure how many are coming in from here. Hope you have an AWESOME week on the job Tim

Hi Timgill,
My week was paperwork filled. They divid up the numbers based on population per province. Some provincesd try to get more people ready because other divisions are not able to fil there slots. The number I gave you was the one they were tossing around when I was there. The guys on the RCMP thread (Jamaf,Marcus and marcusinmb) may have heard more updated stuff.

ps this aint a job, jobs can't be this much fun!
