Hey everyone. I am new to the board and have a couple of senarios for you. They were asked of me on an oral board I took for a local dept. I was wondering how you all would answer.
1. You and your partner are standing outside of your car in an empty parking lot. Three men walk out of a store on the other side of the parking lot. They are walking towards you and your partner. They start shooting at you and your partner is hit. What do you do? If you return fire your weapon will not work. If you say I will use my backup or my partners weapon they also do not work. They put you in a situation that you can not shoot back. Now what do you do?
2. You are on patrol in a marked car in an area of town you know to be hostile towards police. Someone throughs a rock at your car and breaks out a side window. You see this person run into an apartment complex. What do you do?
3. You receive a call from dispatch to answer a domestic disturbance call. When you arive you hear gun shots coming from the apartment and you see a man running from the apartment. What do you do?
4. You are downtown across the street from a bank. You are standing next to your patrol car. The streets are full of people because it is lunch time. You hear an alarm going off. It is coming from the bank. You see two men dressed the same way. Both are wearing brown suites brown shoes, both are clean cut, both have a bag in one hand and a gun in the other. They start shooting at each other. A bystander is hit by a stray bullet. They do not respond to any verbal comands they continue to shoot at each other. What do you do. <br>

AND,.....usually, people expect whenever they call you to deal with their problems, YOU WILL be expected to handle their problems appropriately. 8) It's what "Joe-Q. Public" thinks anyways.
