HEY, JUST WANTED TO GIVE THIS UPDATE...... IN TWO WEEKS I HAVE AN ORIENTATION MEETING AND THEY FINALLY SENT ME THE PERSONAL HISTORY QUESTIONNAIRE. SO NOW I AM WORKING ON THAT GETTIN COMPLETED.I AM SO EXCITED ABOUT THIS. I HAVE DECIDED TO GO WITH THE TRUTH AND BE COMPLETLY HONEST. MY ONLY QUESTION IS ABOUT 3 WEEKS AGO I HAD AN OPERATION ON MY FOOT BECAUSE I HAD A PIECE OF GLASS STUCK IN IT, JUST LAST WEEK THEY REMOVED 15 STITCHES AND I JUST BEGAN WALKING. THE PROBLEM IS I HAVE A VERY NOTICEABLE LIMP TO MY WALK.( IT KINDA LOOKS FUNNY) HOWEVER AS THE DAYS GO ON I CAN WALK A LITTLE BETTER THAN THE DAY BEFORE. AND HOPEFULLY THIS LIMP WALK IS OVER AND DONE WITH BY THE TIME ORIENTATION COMES AROUND. BUT IF IT'S NOT CAN THIS HURT MY CHANCES?THANKS FOR YOUR HELP.

Santiago--We'll I suppose that will depend upon how well your foot heals when your physical agility testing comes around. If your looking at several weeks till your orientation or whatever is coming up, a lot can happen between now and then. Plus, your foot ought to heal up pretty well by then I would expect.
Unless there was something significant done to your foot in terms of it's structure, nerves tendons, etc. that would adversely affect your foot's normal function for the rest of your life, I doubt it would be a big deal. Especially if you only had some glass removed from the fleshy portion of it from what you've described. Course, I'm no doctor. Maybe that is something you need to ask the doctor about. Maybe even the recruiter. 8)

Thanks Charlie for your response. Nothing serious was done to my foot , just the removal of the glass. It's healing up better now. I just have a slight limp. My orientation is in a week and a half, hopefully everything goes well. Thanks again.
