Rob-1--Obviously, an applicant who has had a felony arrest will definitely raise some eyebrows BUT the key issues is whether or not the person had a final conviction for the charge against them. You indicate that the charge was finally dismissed, which in your case, is definitely a good thing. ;D I am not aware of any law enforcment agency who hires anyone with a felony conviction. BUT,..... I think it is quite obvious that when and if the time comes ou decide to pursue a possible career with an LE agency, they will most likely become aware of your felony arrest situation. And, most likely, they will contact the agency who arrested you to get all related information about you which wil likely include the arrest and case report information. My suggestion is, when the time comes you meet with the background investigator (B.I.), is to be prepared to give them an honest, thorough explanation as to the complete circumstances surrounding your past arrest. You might have an uphill battle with this. As you said, "I had nothing to do with "it." ("It" meaning I presume, whatever the crime was that was held against you). Hopefully, the complete circumstances surrounding this situation will be looked at and taken into consideration. As for the past tickets you have received, I don't think that will be a problem unless you got a lot of them. Nevertheless, good luck. Charlie
