I took the B/PAD for Durham, NC PD this past Saturday and I think it went well. They showed 8 different scenarios and at the end of each scene you had to respond. It sounded like many of the oral board questions that have been posted on this board. One of the scenes had a driver that just got pulled over for speeding. He winds up his window, locks the door and the gives you the finger and crosses his arms. How would you handle this situation? I acted like I was knocking on the glass a few times and told the drives to open the window and then I called for back up. That was the only question I felt like I messed up .

Shawn, I have been through the recruitment process for the Durham PD. The Bpad was a strange thing to me! I had a different tape, though (there are two versions). It's nice to see a local on board!! And hey, I'm looking for a running partner, interested? lol You can email me at JACQ2000@AOL.COM if you'd like to know more about my process...or just have someone to talk to who has been there with the same department.
