Hello, im a 21 year old male and im going for my first oral interview in May. I will be sitting down with the departments Capt., 2 Lieut's. and 4 Sgt's. Scott;  May I suggest you read the past messages on this Board, we have answered this question many times, and there have been some good results reported.

The main things are to be clean, dress well, have a fresh haircut.  Answer "yes sir or mam" to questions.  There will probably be questions about how you would handle a certain situation.  Usually there is no right or wrong answer, but they are looking for what you think.

Try to keep calm, don't let yourself be drawn into an argument, but if you take a stand, stick with it unles you are really convinced your position is wrong.  Don't be a hard head.
