Hello all-
Just thought I would update you on my progress here in Illinois. A week ago, I went in for step #3 in the hiring process. I had to hand in my college transcripts. There were about 100 people there. Since it is such a large department, they have people go in at different times in large groups. After handing in our transcripts, we all filled out a Personal History Questionaire. Basically, it asked you things like How many tickets you have gotten? Have you ever been arrested?, etc. Then we all lined up for the fun drug test, which included urine and hair test. We were all fingerprinted as well. We then recieved a 15 page Background Investigation booklet to fill out. Thank goodness for the internet, because while I was in college, I had about 5 different jobs and there was no way I remembered all of their addresses and phone numbers! But once, you got into filling it out, it really did not take that long.
The next step is handing in the Background Package on the 19th. On that date, we receive our Medical and Psych Test info. Until then, I'll keep plugging away, hoping that everything turns out okay.
