Pa state--You don't mention WHICH web sites you've looked at for the information you seek. Course, this amounts to: "Are you looking in the RIGHT places for what you're looking for?" Well, to my knowledge, I am not aware of any particular sources that specifically address the "PA Constable" position. BUT, have you contacted a local Constable and asked him/her this same question? Perhaps someone already in the biz you seek could point you in the right direction? The only other thing that comes to mind is, I am certain the Great State of Pennsylvania LIKELY has some sort of state level government body or commission which is empowered to regulate, makes rules, make training requirements, etc. in order for someone to be bonafide Pennsylvania Licensed Law Enforcement Officer (or "peace officer" ) in that state. Here in Texas, we have a commission (Texas Commission On Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Education or T.C.L.E.O.S.E.) who makes up all the rules and regs for someone to be a bona fide law enforcement officer in our state. This covers everyone who is a municipal police officer, sheriff, deputy, trooper, constable, etc. who have the authority, enforcement powers, etc. and can arrest people. In Texas, if you are the "real police," you MUST be a card-carrying licensed "peace officer" by TCLEOSE. (This excludes federal agents of course). I'd be willing to bet if you went to the Official State of Pennsylvania web site, you could find a similar commission or government entity which does the same thing. Perhaps it is known as P.O.S.T. or something like that. (Police Officer Standards and Training). Usually, there will likely be a hyper link to this particular entity and I'd bet it will have some of the information you're looking for to be a law officer in Pennsylvania. ;D That's all I can think of.
