Hi All. Just wanted to pose a question for any test takers out there:
I am to test for a Deputy and I was told they have a judgement exam that last for 1.5 hours and is video based. How would one prepare for this? Does anyone know of a practice manual that I could buy? Any thoughts would be wonderful. Test in Sept 5th. Wish me luck

Porl In response to your question, I believe you are getting ready to take a test that presents you a situation in a video setting then you are expected to either react or discribe what you would do. Research some police officer training web sites they may be able to shed some light on this test. A good one is www.line of duty.com. Also I believe states like California require this test. I don't know where you are but some research there may help you. Also, go to a local bookstore like books a million and find some prep manuals. They normally address a wide range of topics to help prepare you. Finally, like all tests especially one that does not have definite answers, you just have to do the best you can. A judgement test here is normally designed to determine if you can think on you feet. Just remember, follow the reasonable person rule, Would your action or decision offend the conciousness of a reasonable person, a citizen? Let common sense be your guide and good luck. Thanks for the advice T. Johnson. I have my test today... Any last words of advice from anyone, before I dig in?
(oh and BTW, I heard only 5% pass this test and I was one question away last time! Grrrrr)
