I just sent my application package off to Edmonton Police Service. I have done the written tests and now wait to do the physical.
Is there anyone out there who is in the same position. Or if anyone has gone through Edmonton and what it is like.
Any info would help.

Hey there, I'm not applying to Edmonton but I was wondering what the physical standards were for EPS? Are they the same as for Calgary? Does Edmonton use the PARE for their hiring standard? Thanks.

Has anyone done the physical for Edmonton? I have looked at their web site. But just wondering if anyone as actually done it and what they think of it.
If there is anyone from Edmonton, do you know how much interest there is for the EPS?

Hi everyone,
Well I have given it some thought and decided to do the Edmonton Police physical while I wait for the package from the rcmp. Don't want to put all my eggs in one basket eh!
My date for the physical is on October 8,2002. As you can see I don't mind moving off of the west coast. Espically off the "ISLAND" ( Romano will understand ) So I will work at the gym really hard until then.
Is there anyone out there in the same position with the Edmonton Police Service?

Question?
Is there anyone out there that is applying at the Edmonton Police Service? Or is Calgary taking all the applicants?
Just hoping to get some more info on the physical from someone who has actually done it. I have looked at their web site, so I am done at the gym three to four times a week. But just want some hands on information.
There has to be someone out there......is there.....I'm all alone, and the wolves are after me......( sorry too much Simpsons)

Well I have my plane ticket to Edmonton to do the physical, then the interview as long as I pass the physical of course. But there has to be someone else out there applying to Edmonton Police as well. Or is everyone applying at Calgary Police? It kind of seems like Calgary is over run with applicants at this time. So if there is anyone applying at Edmonton Police, drop me a line. I can't be the only one. On another note, the reserve class is going great. Learning lots of stuff. Can't wait for the physical training in hand cuffing, searches, and of course the self defence with the use of force. Then off to the shooting range to qualify on the firearms. Anyways, if anyone is out there applying at Edmonton, let me know. Glenn  |

I'm back from Calgary and going away tomorrow (for work, not police stuff) for a week and a half. Just wanted to say good luck on your testing and interview with EPS, and I'll drop you a line when I get back to see how it went.
Thanks for the tips on the CPS interview, it helped and went well. Now the waiting game....
