Hello everyone. Just a quick question for anyone who may know. When you go through the background/oral board process, do they inquire about past relationships that you have had? Do they ask for names as part of the background process to contact these people? If anyone has experienced this, or knows if this is true, please let me know. Thanks a lot.

For my background investigation, they did ask for former people up to 2 years that I have dated. So, I gave them the names and phone numbers of those individuals. What they are going to do with it, I have no clue. I'm assuming they'll call and see what that person has to say about you. But this is all an assumption.

Departments are different but here they ask for you ex-wife/husband and if it ok to contact them. I know they also ask for anyone that you lived with for any period of time but as to how far back they want is up to the department. I don't know what your required to provide but just be honest and you will do fine. Good Luck K.U.P.
