Well, I was reading the paper today and there is a chance that our city council might have to force a hiring freeze for the police service. I have not really heard too much about this but this would really screw with my plans of getting on with Calgary. If anyone has heard anything about this please let me know. I am going to call my file manager and see what she has to say about all this.  |

Hopefully you are in that applicant pool that is covering their retirements pool(most agencies are just barely matching their losses)apply around as the spring will bring new appointments....

I talked to my recruiter and she assured me that there was very little to worry about because Calgary is still trying to keep up with just the number of cops retiring and with growth of the city's population. The only thing that might be affected is the hiring that might have brought about a better citizen to cop ratio. So good news for all us CPS 2 bes out there.
