New to the Board

I just found this site yesterday and I'm sure glad I did.  There is a wealth of information in here that I am tapping on right now since I'm trying to be an LEO.

If anyone of you is so kind to share their wisdom with me on how to increase my chances of getting in, I would certainly appreciate it.  Feel free to contact me directly or send me an email.  I have certain questions that i would like to ask that I feel is too personal to be posted on this board.

I am located in So. California and I'm trying to get in to the Sheriffs or LAPD.  I haven't really made up my mind yet.

ADD me to the list as well. The exam is coming up in my state and I'm freaking out. Without a GREAT score 100,99,98 your not even considered. Also I would like to know the politics of it.
Any suggestions would be of great help.
