Hi, just found this sight last night. Really informative reading all the posts. I've been a Middle School teacher for 8 years and am feeling the need for a career change. I've been thinking of the RCMP lately, and have always had an interest. Being that I have two special needs kids requiring therapy running into the tens of thousands of dollars a year I need to consider the annual salary. I've looked everywhere through my investigations but am unable to find anything. Thanks for any info, or direction to where I can find it.

This is from the RCMP website, hope it helps:
Salary for a constable consists of four different levels: engagement, third, second and first. These increments are not automatic. Members must first complete certain duties and achieve specific experience to obtain the increases listed below.
$39,535: 0 to six months (or until completion of the field training program)
$51,367: upon completion of field training program up until two years
$60,099: next 12 months
$64,059: after three years

Ooops!
Those are old wages that you posted from the website, there have been raises since then and there will more than likely be another one in January.
It is approximately: (don't have the list at home right now)
$42,000
$54,000
$63,000
$68,000

Hate to burst your bubble twisted but the quotes provided by Mark are a bit too generous. We top out at about $65,600 these days. Like many of the major police forces, our wage is set on a yearly basis, so it's always in flux. While we would love to receive a raise again next year, there have been many times in our history where we have gone many years without a raise. Cheers, RY
