There is a woman in South Surrey that also does it, her name is Karen Smith. I went to her and she was really good.

Hi Medicguy,
Do you have the contact information for Karen Smith? I looked on the mytelus phonebook and there are two pages of K. Smith...
Google comes up blank when trying to find Karen Smith RCMP interview...
Got the call for the interview (they left a message and I called back and left a message... so no date yet but soon)...

Yes, I think that was her name, Karen Smith. I thought she was in White Rock but it likely is Surrey. I'm sorry I can't remember right now how to get ahold of her but I will ask my husband and see if he can tell me. Gotta go to work so must dash. Try to post asap though. I know how it feels to be in process--aggonnyyy!

Hey Samsteele~! at least you already know some of your RCMP history~! nice nick name
as you are in H division.. the chicky in BC isn't going to help you much.. Take the guideline on the rcmp website, print it off, take a couple days and go through your life and come up with 2 examples that you have proved yourself be it with volunteer experience or your job for each of the rcmp core values... Once you have that figured out you will be okay, always have two incase they don't feel you explained how you displayed the trait well enough.
And yes, I am a member!

Okay here is the website of the lady my husband went to to prep for the interview. She really helped to boost his confidence and pointed out all his transferable skills and experience. I'm sure they went over quite a few things but since I wasn't there and don't get in on all of the top secrets of the RCMP, that's all I know. www.destinycareerplanners.com/index.htm

In regards to my interview in september, i passed everything only to find out the day before my medical that they were deferring me.So in lieu of that possability i had already applied and been accepted to the Atlantic Police Academy. That is where i am right now and i have a new question. What can i do after i graduate to laterally enter in the RCMP? can they recruit me from here and i go to depot for there lateral 5 week coarse?

I think that you need 2 years service with another agency before you can do a lateral, but I'm not 100% on that.

I'm about 99% sure you need to attend an info session to write the RPAT in AB. Not sure where in AB you are but Calgary is running an RPAT every month so if you miss one next week ther eshoudl be another one 4 weeks later...provided there are still open spaces available. When I wrote in Sept, it was completely full!
