Hey Guys,
Well I am going to do the reserves for sure. Of course this is a volunteer position, but the training and experience should be priceless. We will have everything except a firearm. Should be doing a lot of community policing, road blocks, crowd control, and ride a longs. Cant wait. About the job offer, well, first of all I will make the reserves top pirority. Take a trip to Edmonton to do the testing. I probably will stay put on the employment situation. Get the same rate of pay without the all that responsiblity that comes with all the cash your transporting. Anyhow, I am tired and heading to bed. Thanks for all the input
Glenn
Becoming a cop isn't something that happens overnight. It takes a good solid weekend of training to get that badge.... Forget about the badge, when do we get the freaking gun?......LOL

Glenn, good for you, it sounds like the reserves would be pretty cool. I thought of trying to get on as an auxillary RCMP but the Calgary detachment didn't have any postions at the time. As well, the small towns around Calgary weren't too crazy about hiring someone who didn't live in their town. Let me know what the training is like and keep me posted on your application status with EPS.
